JOE BROWN: TURNING SETBACKS
INTO SUCCESS

Sharing about the power of resiliency through stories of failure, adversity, challenge, triumph, perseverance, and success. Joe was critically injured in Baghdad on August 1st, 2007 after stepping away from the NFL to raise his right hand and fight for the flag, waking up in a military hospital bed not able to speak or walk. Hear this story of incredible resilience as Joe shares the details here and how he was able to not only rally himself but also his young family.

Throughout his professional career, Joe has learned that at the core of every successful project, program, or initiative there is a strong organizational culture based upon bringing together the right people and empowering them to explore and create opportunity together.

Joe has a vast experience in leadership that began with his five years of playing Division 1 football at The Ohio State University. He went onto play in the NFL for three years followed by a four-year career in Army, where he served honorably as an Army Ranger, deploying multiple times to the Middle East. Joe was injured during his last deployment.
